Focus Fields- We started off on the right foot, but we're stuck between the first and second step. Our team is totally awesome, but you can't win them all. Plus, unfortunately, the score was 12-1, so the game ended in five innings. This game we played the Angels, who were visitors, and we were home. The weather was mostly cloudy, with a temperature of about 49 degrees F. It was very windy, but that wasn't enough to cancel the game.
The point of the game in which almost made us fall into endless pits was the third inning. In the third inning, the Angels brought up their sluggers and shot the ball right back at our defense in the outfield, allowing them to steal home. The catcher was J.D., who blocked most of would-be pass balls, saving us from the game ending in less than 5 innings.
Credit for our only run goes to Mickey, who hit the ball just enough to get a double, then stole 3 rd and stole home plate in the bottom of the second inning.
Pitching in this game was Mickey, #4, and Tyler, #2. All together they kept us racing for victory with 5 strikeouts and only allowed 4 hits for the Angels.
We played our best, but it didn't lead us to victory. That doesn't matter though. This game just lets The Marlins know that we need more practice. A mark that shows we stayed in the game was the last inning were Eddie, #3, finally tagged out a runner stealing home, which put us to the bottom of the 5 th.
