LP Rangers Skate to 3-0 Record

The Lewis Palmer Ranger ice hockey team continues its winning ways. On Friday they defeated Pine Creek 8-3. The Rangers have outscored their opponents 19-4 in three games. Coach Fillo is pleased with the results so far but explained the team needs to stay out of the penalty box and focus on the game if they want to compete with the elite teams in the state. On Friday, 12/14, at 6:30 p.m. at the Colorado Sports Center in Monument, they will face their biggest test of the young season. Ralston Valley, from Denver, comes to play, sporting its own undefeated record, at 4-0. This match up of undefeated teams has added some excitement to the chilly air at the rink. As one spectator observed, this game could be a preview of the playoffs in the spring. LP goalie Colin Anonsen is eager to get it started. "I'm excited. This will be a good test to see how strong a team we really are." Last year's game between these teams was cancelled due to weather. This Friday's forecast calls for very little snow, but a 90% chance of excellent, exciting hockey. LP fans are asked to park in the west parking lot, behind the rink
