The Lewis-Palmer Boys Swimming and Diving Team collected more points
(492) than any other team in remembered history at the Colorado Springs Metro League Swimming Championships.The Rangers were paced by 16 different swimmers and divers who made the top 8 in their events.Their depth was too great for host Cheyenne Mountain (2nd place with 359) to overcome.The Rangers won 4 of the 12 events, including the first event, the Medley Relay their 3rd year in a row.
Three new LPHS school records were set at the meet, performed by Jonathan Munns in the 200 Freestyle, Matthew Grooms in the 100 Butterfly and Heath Glover in the 500 Freestyle.Other individual point scorers (top 16) for the Rangers were, Bryce Arata, Brian Bain, Nick Brewer, Kelly Buell-Schoenman, Josh Day, Matthew Day, Logan Dean, Alex Eldredge, Jeremy Hayes, Adam Kriete, Shane Meyer, Alex Mikulas, John Reynolds, Ben Williamsz & Isaac Williamsz.
The Rangers finished the season with a 9-0 dual meet record and have now compiled a 24-0 record in their three years of existence.They will be headed for the 5A State Meet this Friday and Saturday in Fort Collins with nine individual qualifiers.
