LEGENDARY BLUESMAN BOB MARGOLIN RETURNS TO JIMBO'S TAKE 2

A Music Company Inc. and KRCC-FM bring back Steady Rollin' Bob Margolin for his third engagement at Jimbo's Take 2, 2427 N. Union Blvd., on Thursday, April 10, 2008. After two successful appearances at the venue in March and October of 2007, Margolin has been eager to return to Jimbo's Take 2.

"The gigs I've done at Jimbo's are very special to me, an opportunity to put aside the idea of presenting a show, and just sit in a small room with new friends and play my deepest music and tell some stories I've acquired from my direct experience. With help from harp player and Blues singer Al Chesis, we can go where the moment takes us. The friendly atmosphere, intimate room, and perfect sound set us up to play our best music and have a special good time. Can't wait to get back again." exclaims Margolin.

"Bob Margolin with his Telecaster, accompanied by Al Chesis of the Delta Sonics on harmonica, provided their audience with an absolutely wonderful night of Blues salted with interesting stories. This was truly one of the best evenings of music I've been privileged to hear!" says Jim Adam of Jimbo's Take 2

He can be seen with Muddy Waters and The Band in The Last Waltz, the classic music documentary. His most recent album In North Carolina features Margolin playing original and cover songs that are, as he explains, "in my heart when I'm home. All of my previous recordings were made in studios or live onstage. This one has been crafted slowly over the last few years. Some are solo performances, some employ overdubbing added instruments".

His recording The Bob Margolin All-Star Blues Jam for Telarc Records, features many of today's surviving Chicago Blues legends. Since the '90s, he has also recorded albums for the Powerhouse, Alligator, and Blind Pig labels. He writes a regular column for Blues Revue magazine and contributes to BluesWax.com online magazine.
