Life Academy School
Contributed by: Lexie Forbes on 7/24/2007

The most creative, challenging, and rewarding project I've ever undertaken was homeschooling my own two children. I was able, by God's grace, to teach them from kindergarten through high school, but when they went to college I realized that I'd worked myself out of a job! None of the things I found to do from then on-not working at a university, not supporting a major Christian ministry, not painting large-scale murals-were as creatively satisfying as that was. Then I helped create Life Academy and rediscovered the creativity and challenge I had been missing.

I love working to help my students develop confidence in and responsibility for their educational efforts. I love working to build a supportive and nurturing environment for my students to "grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ." I love using my creativity to meet the diverse educational needs of my students and to promote the school. It's a beautiful thing to have a role in such a mission!
