Easter is over and we have worshipped God and enjoyed our chocolate bunnies, peeps and jelly beans. The bad news is, the sugar we ate yesterday will make it tough for our immune system to fight off illness this week. When we eat bleached white flour and white sugar, not only does our immune system have to get busy fighting off the poison bleach, the sugar competes with vitamin C for absorption into our cells. The end result is a weakened immune system. When you do get sick, think back to your diet a few days earlier, you will almost always see a relationship between high sugar intake and the illness. Sugar has also been attributed to aggravating cancer, hyperactivity, diabetes, depression, the aging of our skin and many more problems.
But that stuff tastes so good! After you have indulged, be sure to increase your vitamin C intake, some say to bowel tolerance. You may also help your immune system by increasing your intake of fish oil, green drinks and any of your other favorite immune system enhancers. Most importantly, have no guilt! The weekend is over and you enjoyed it!
Have a healthy week!

Great advice, Kathy. I'm going to get some Vitamin C and fish oil in me ASAP.
