Garlic is an immune booster. If you feel a cold coming on, just pop some garlic in your mouth. Snip the ends off of a clove, put it in the side of your cheek and let the juices heal you. It stings a bit at first, but you'll get used to it. You can also sautee garlic, roast it in the oven, take it in pill form or make it in a soup (recipe below)and for the very brave - just chew up a clove or two raw! Try it, even my twelve year old and her friends have done it on a dare!
If you catch your cold early enough and hit it with enough garlic, many times the cold will never take hold.
Garlic Soup
Llightly sautee 4 or 5 cloves garlic, chopped small or pressed. Place in a pan with 4 cups vegetable broth and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer one hour and enjoy.
