These are the days we cheerish the most
My writings will most likely be school work that i had to do for classes other than journalism. The stories i've written are going to be very persuasive and maybe even one sided hence why they aren't for journalism. i hope you enjoy!

A long line of slow almost snail-like traffic in L.A., the woman who's stuck in the 70s putting on her usual 5 pounds of hair spray, and the burning of coal to make energy flow through thousands of people's homes are just a few things that have increased the thickness of the Earth's atmosphere. Many people call those substances that thicken the atmosphere global warming pollution.
Global warming isn't a fun thing that just passes over like a cloud that shows signs of pouring on a picnic. It's the world's deadliest killer. Before anyone knows it the world will be submerged in the waters of Antarctic glaciers or even worse, the world will be a giant desert, no life to be found and only the remains of what were once called humans.
The Earth wasn't always threatened by this killer; at one time the atmosphere and Earth had a well-balanced friendship as one might say. Then man decided to destroy it all.The evidence of man's interference can be found deep in the glaciers. The ice can tell you how cold it was and how much CO2 was in the atmosphere hundreds of years ago. Through those studies, scientists have found a way to predict the future's CO2 composition in the atmosphere. Their studies have shown that in less than 50 years the global warming CO2 level will be over 300 parts per million. It will be the first time that the CO2 level has gone over or even reached that point.
Things like this just don't happen overnight. It's a long process that takes a lot of people to join in on. Earth is all we have to live on (until we find another planet/moon to destroy). The snow on top of Mt. Kilimanjaro will be gone in less then a decade. We have destroyed what has been given to us and we are the only ones that can fix it. Before it's too late, when our grandchildren have to learn how to survive in a giant ocean or desert, there needs to be a change. Captain Planet isn't here to save the day, but we've all got a little Captain Planet in us!

Mother Natures been around a long time. She'll fix any problem we cause. The only real question is will we like the way she does it. We'll adapt. We always do.

Hey Shasta, what you say is true, no doubting that. But you pose and argument and don’t really provide a way to change this prediction or even slow it down. Yes we have to stop pollutants from wasting our ozone layer, yes we have to find more fuel efficient conveyance, and yes we have to recycle more waste and return it to use by human. Yup, humans. To err is human, to forgive divine. The rising tides will not be forgiving in anyway as you probably know. I look at my son who just turned 5 today and wonder what kind of world have I brought this energetic intelligent little human into. The next big war will have devastating effects on everything we know now and this war will be on our own soil. But I have strayed from the theorized prediction of a planet flooded by melting snow caps. We need to get more involved in everything in order to give them a fighting chance for their children’s sake!
