USA Gymnastics names local athlete to the 2007 USA Pre-Elite Training Squad. Brennan Cooper,three-time National Champion and Colorado Springs resident, was named for both Trampoline and Double Mini Trampoline to the training squad. The Pre-Elite Training Squad is designed by USA Gymnastics to recognize talented athletes. Athletes were named to the Pre Elite Training Squad per discipline based on their 2006 competition results.

Brennan recently attended a National Training Camp Jan. 11-14 in Houston, Texas, where he trainedeight hours a day with the U.S. National team coaches andtwo-time Olympian and current USAG National Team coordinator, Dmitri Poliaroush. The aim of the camp was to prepare athletes for the upcoming International Age-Group USA Team Trials and to prepare for a move to the elite ranks in the United States. If chosen for the IAG Team, Brennan will compete in Quebec City in November 2007.

Brennan is an honor student/freshman at Sand Creek High School in Falcon School District 49. He is a member of the SkyRaiders trampoline team at CSTT. Brennan is coached by his mother, Kelly Cooper, USAG Coach, USAG CAT 1 T&T Judge, co-owner of Colorado Springs Trampoline & Tumbling, and retired USAG Colorado State Chair.
