Joy differs from happiness in that, while happiness comes and goes with our circumstances, joy is rooted in a deeper place. The storms of life may toss us here and there above ground but our joy lies in the security of our roots in the rich, warm earth.
The Essence of Joy
is the Deep Assurance that
the future is certain...
even in uncertain times.
