Like many women her age, 28 year old Patti Rogers of Colorado Springs was tired. She has devoted the last 5 ½ years to staying home and raising her two boys. Every mother knows just how much work and effort goes into that job - the most important job there is. It Was Always About the Kids Patti rarely comes up for air. "It's all about the kids - all day. I stay at home with my 2 boys, Kyle, 5 ½ and Alex, 11 months. My husband works long hours and on his days off, we're always running errands. Lately, I have been helping out a friend by keeping her twin boys so she can work. By the end of the day, the exhaustion takes over. It can be a struggle sometimes to find time to work out," she explains. "As the years passed, I slowly and steadily gained weight. It sort of "creeped up" on me. It wasn't a sudden weight gain, it was incremental. And then one day, I looked in the mirror and really didn't like what I saw," says Patti. 98 Pounds of Pure Fat - YUCK! With my first pregnancy I gained 55 pounds. I went from 117 to 172. With my second I gained 43. Going from 138 to 181. So overall I gained 98 pounds of baby weight (YUCK!) That sounds really bad when I add the two together." "I felt tired, unmotivated and hungry all the time. I was too embarrassed to leave the house. I would wear a coat or sweats out everywhere I went no matter what the temperature was, so I would be mostly covered. I felt like everyone was staring and laughing because of my weight. It was taking its toll on me and I knew I had to do something about it," Patti says. I'd Lose It...Then Gain it Back "I had tried dieting and even exercising in the past and didn't have any luck at all. I'd lose a little weight, and then just gain it back. I'd go to the gym, but get bored doing the same thing over and over and not getting results. I tried to eat right, but always fell off the wagon. I couldn't stick with anything. I would get bored 2 weeks into it. I could NOT get myself off the couch to continue anything I would start. I would make excuses as to why I couldn't work out that day until weeks had gone by and I'd forget all about exercise," Rogers explains. I knew I needed expert guidance. I did some research on Google and I discovered a Women's Boot Camp Fitness Program right here in Colorado Springs. I needed a coach who could put together a plan just for me that included both exercise and nutrition, and then hold me accountable to it. I needed the support. I needed a shoulder I could lean on. I found that support with the other women in the group. They are going through the same thing, so it feels really good to know I'm not alone. Just when you think you can't do anymore, YOU CAN! The other women won't let you quit. The motivation is amazing!" says Patti. Happy and Proud Again! "But more importantly, I'm happy. I'm proud of my body again, and I've rediscovered that love for life again. My results with Joe's Boot Camp have been PHENOMENAL! In the first 4 weeks I lost 4 inches just off my waist. I went from a pair of jeans being too tight to being too big. I have more energy to take my kids outside for a walk or to play in the yard. I feel like I can accomplish more. I can pick up my 5 year old now and give him a "piggy back" ride up the stairs instead of just down. I am so much stronger in just a few short weeks. I almost have my body back to where it should be in just a short time. I never thought it would be this quick and fun. I thought it would be few months before I felt this good! I feel like a totally different person." Patti says. 457 Success Stories "Patti is our success story this month," says Joe Ramirez. "We're all very proud of her. Like Patti, 39 year old Ann-Marie Johnson was tired and depressed after gaining nearly 40 pounds in 1 year. Ann-Marie lost 19 pounds, 5% body fat and 20 inches in only 8 weeks with Joe's Boot Camp program. Joe's Boot Camp isn't just for Moms, women from 19 - 54 years in age have benefited from his program. Doing it Alone Doesn't Work "Far too many women needlessly struggle with weight loss and fitness because they try to do it alone. There is no substitute for having expert guidance, a program tailored to your specific needs as a mom, and the accountability and support of other women who have been there to help you see it through. It's life changing as you can see from Patti's story, "says Ramirez. "I am so excited about what Joe's Boot Camp has done for me. I not only have made great progress, I have made some wonderful friends! Instead of finding an excuse to stay in the house, I find one to go out! " Rogers exclaims. The Right Questions to Ask To help Colorado Springs women make an informed decision about beginning a fitness or diet program, Joe has written a Special Fitness Report called, "The 5 Biggest Weight Loss Myths." "By discovering what doesn't work and more importantly, what does work, you will have a significant advantage over others trying to accomplish the same goal," Ramirez explains.
