Girl Scouts from across the Pikes Peak region gathered on Saturday, May 12 to celebrate the end of a successful cookie season and load a gigantic truck with Girl Scout cookies. The cookies, many of which contained personal messages of support, will be shipped to Operation Gratitude Headquarters in California, where they will be included in care packages to military troops stationed overseas. Local Girl Scouts who participated in the 2007 Cookie Program, with the generosity of thousands of customers, were able to donate more than 20,871 boxes of cookies to deployed military.
Thank you Girl Scouts and Girl Scout supporters!
