The Friends of Monument Valley Park is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the enhancement and improvement of the natural and cultural environment in the park. Since its inception in 2000, Friends has revived two annual events, Lilac Day and General Palmer Day. Last year Friends sponsored a 5k-10k run in the park as part of the park's centennial celebration. Friends was also instrumental in getting the park placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. This year Friends donated and planted trees on Arbor Day with city Forestry. We have ongoing projects for historic preservation and park enhancements.
Membership is open to everyone, and new members are always welcome. Please visit our table at Musical Mondays!
