TWO ACOUSTIC BANDS APPEAR ON ONE SHOW

A Music Company Inc. is bringing two fantastic acoustic acts to Venue 515 at the Business of Art Center in Manitou Springs. Jeff and Vida, and the Boulder Acoustic Society will be performing Saturday March 29; at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 the day of the show. Tickets may be purchased at the Business of Art Center, 513 Manitou Avenue or online at www.AMusicCompanyInc.com.

One of New Orleans' best known acoustic roots acts, Jeff & Vida have recently relocated to NashvilleTN. With three critically acclaimed records under their belt and five years of rigorous touring both nationally and internationally, the duo make big impressions wherever they go performing original material spanning from Appalachian bluegrass to alternative country. Their live performances showcase Vida's powerful voice and Jeff's superb picking on mandolin, guitar and banjo and tight well arranged harmonies. With ballads that sound like they could have been written fifty years ago and raucous barnstorming numbers that keep your feet tapping their live shows are exciting and unique, full of humor, good music and unforgettable songs.

Each member of Boulder Acoustic Society comes from a different musical world, and the resulting mix is what makes their music so special. Shredding guitar licks, soaring gypsy violin, a little ukulele and the thump of an old time bass bounce around with a jazz accordion and creative percussion to create a new sound. It is American Roots music with the edge of punk rock and the grace of chamber music. This joyful chaos has defined BAS for the last four years of relentless touring, recording and rehearsing. They have crisscrossed the country countless times building a following the old fashioned way: by making connections with fans one at a time. From festivals to rock clubs, dive bars to house concerts, BAS has spread the word. And who is listening? Hipsters and hippies, punks and grandmas, kids and pickers, folkies and yuppies all "get it" where it matters: deep down in that place that defies description.

Vidoe of each band can be viewed at www.AMusicCompanyInc.com/calendar

"The Business of Art Center is the perfect setting for an acoustic show such as this" says Amy Whitesell of A Music Company Inc. "There is a high demand for the roots music being offered by these two fine groups and and I'm glad to be able present this show in a facility that is fitting."
