George Whitesell & His All Stars featuring Jill Watkins, will be performing their Second Annual Valentine Dinner Dance at the Castaway's Inn, February 9, 2008. The Castaway's Inn is located at 107 Manitou Avenue in Manitou Springs. Show time is 8 to 11pm. General admission is $15 in advance/$20 day of show. A $50 VIP ticket includes: 6-7:30pm dinner buffet, choice seating and show.

"We had a great time last year and performed to a near sellout crowd so we decided to make this an annual event" explains Whitesell. "This year should be even better since the band has a full year of performing under its belt, plus we released our CD which is getting rave reviews".George Whitesell & His All Stars featuring Jill Watkins debuted on June 5, 2006 and was quickly heralded as the premier show band in the jump, swing and blues genre for the region.

As of December 2007, the band is now listed on the entertainment roster for the nationally acclaimed five diamond rated Broadmoor Hotel.

"Now he's assembled what could be described as the blues board of directors in this area: George Whitesell & His All Stars. The term "all star" is thrown around loosely, but if it's possible for there to be a blues supergroup in Colorado Springs, this is it. The résumés of the seven band members include experience with local and legendary acts, including Cab Calloway, and Heart. In July, 2007, the band released its first CD, SKAT on Circle 504 Records . Skat has been getting airplay in the USA and internationally. Produced by veteran Chicago session man and now an acclaimed solo artist, Ken Saydak, the CD also features the guitar work of "Steady Rollin' Bob Margolin" who worked for years in the band of the legendary bluesman Muddy Waters. Ken Saydak explains, "George Whitesell and His All Stars is an entertainment juggernaut, and whether you listen to this, their first studio recording, or see their exciting stage show, I dare you not to smile".
