Introducing Old Colorado City's 2007 ArtWalk

If you love art, you will love First Friday ArtWalk in Old Colorado City! Every month on the first Friday between April and October, ten prominent art galleries are host to ArtWalk along W. Colorado Avenue and several side street locations. During these sponsored events, visitors will meet locally and internationally recognized artists, enjoy live music, and sample special treats, too! ArtWalk is designed to excite all your senses. Once a month, art enthusiasts will witness the unveiling of special collections, participate in opening receptions, or "meet the artist" face-to-face. Visit each of the participating galleries and be sure not to miss Chrystina's Gallery, Cucuru Gallery & Café, Pine Creek Art Gallery, Arati, Calabash, Squash Blossom, Gunter-Wolff Gallery, Envi, Studio101 and Laura Reilly Gallery. All the galleries are within an easy walking distance of each other and can be easily spotted by colorful ArtWalk flags along "the Avenue".

Guest artists also will be available to discuss what inspires their creativity or other topics about techniques, styles, subject matter, etc. Visitors will be greeted by gallery owners and staff members to help with purchases and invite questions about art and the artists.

Old Colorado City ArtWalk is a great way to enjoy the charm of this historic district in Colorado Springs. ArtWalk starts at 4 pm and ends at 8 pm-meet some friends, savor a wonderful meal along the Avenue, and enjoy exploring the wide variety of art available in Old Colorado City.
