The band consists of some of the most talented and in-demand musicians in Colorado and features the vocals of renowned singer Jill Watkins from Boulder. After forming, the band quickly became favorites on the music festival circuit throughout Colorado. The All Stars finished out the year by being added to the entertainment roster for the Broadmoor hotel.
Video of the band can be viewed at www.myspace.com/georgewhitesell In 2007 the band released its first CD "Skat" on Circle 504 Records. Chicago session player Ken Saydak, who has toured with Johnny Winter and Lonnie Brooks, produced the CD. Saydak also sits in on piano for one song. Also featured on "Skat" is guitarist Steady Rollin' Bob Margolin who performed with legendary blues man Muddy Waters.
This year the band is scheduled for the Estes Park Jazz Festival, The Trinidaddio Blues Festival and a fourth of July celebration at Beaver Creek opening for the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra to name a few. Locally, the All Stars are scheduled for Blues Under the Bridge, The Getting' Down Concert Series and the Lost Dutchman Music Festival in Divide. "We're happy to be able to bring our show to the Thirsty Parrot for our second anniversary" explains Whitesell. "Since it's a weeknight, we wanted to keep it an early show so people could grab a bite to eat while enjoying the music and still be home by a reasonable hour"
