Local Trampolinists, CSTT SkyRaidersattended the USAG Region 3 Championships held in Ft. Worth Texas, May 4th - 6th. The 3 day event was the last opportunity for over 1200 attending athletes to qualify to the National Championships. Your SkyRaiders are happy to announce all team athletes have qualified to the National Championships June 20th - 28th, held in Memphis Tennessee.
Highlighting this Championship for CSTT, was Brennan Cooper, Sand Creek High School Freshman. Cooper repeated his triple win of 2006 by winning the gold medal in Trampoline, Double Mini Trampoline and Synchronized Trampoline at the 2007 Regional Championships.
In addition, he also earned his place on the Regional All Star team for Trampoline and Double mini for the second year in a row. The highlight of the JO Championships is the Regional All Star competition. The Regional All Star Competition features level 10 regional champions competing for each of the six regions.
Other medalist's for CSTT were Max Cook, Bronze medal in Double Mini Level 9, and Rochelle Johnson, Bronze medal in Tumbling Level 7. Max also placed 4th in Trampoline level 9. Kierney Cooper placed 5th in Trampoline and 7th in Double mini after a dissapointing fall.
Each of the CSTT SkyRaider athletes will be training hard over the next few weeks as they prepare to travel to Memphis for the National Championships.
Funds required to defray expenses associated with traveling to distant competitions, clinics, and camps are precious. The 2007 National Championships will be relatively close in Memphis Tennessee. However, the cost to each athlete to compete at the National level is still in excess of $1200. Ifan athlete is fortunate enough to qualify for international competition, the cost per athlete soars to more than $4000 percompetition. Please help sponsor these athletes by making a tax deductible donation to their travel fund. CSTT Team, Inc PO Box 75302, Colorado Springs, CO 80970. For more information please call 719-520-0066.
