Teva Mountain Games-fun for everyone!

Like a lot of people, I've never heard of the Teva Mountain Games. Kind of crazy since I am an avid outdoors person and wear Teva shoes.

My husband pointed out the games to me on the Web, mentioning thatthe Teva Mountain Gameshad a photography contest.

This was right up my alley. I love the outdoors and photography, so I jumped at the chance to sign up! For $50 you receive press credentials and get a front-row seat to some of the coolest outdoor activities. You have the option of shooting all four days of the games and then turn in the three best photos for the competition.

Sport climbing, raft cross, kayak freestyle, Dockdogs, mountain biking and the 8-ball were just a few of the events. The games took place June 5-8 in Vail with Saturday being the biggest event day with lots of final rounds.

I noticed that Teva did a really great job attracting all sorts of people, from all sorts of places. Competitors from around the world were a part of the IFSC World Cup, the first time the cup has been hosted in theUnited Statesin 20 years! Adults and kids of all ages were competing in events...together!

Dogs from around the nation were jumping high and far in the Dockdogs events. World famous mountain bikers were doing crazy 360 tailwhips. It was great! I would highly recommend the Teva Mountain Games to any athlete, spectator, photographer, or outdoor enthusiast! Mark your calendar for next year!
