Gravity Racer gets Sleeker Design for 2008!

Cascade's own, Dennis Wagner, is at it again!! At last year's Colorado Hill Climb Association Gravity Race in Cripple Creek, he had the fastest time of the whole day. Unfortunately, by race time there were some "road apples" on the race course and going around that mess cost him a couple hundredths of a second and he came in 4th.

Our son is back in town and had some good ideas for dad on the redesign of the racer. Two guys, one shop, multiple ideas. I haven't seen either of them for over a month!

The gravity racer is now a mock-up of an F117 Firehawk fighter jet!! Then in the mail we receive this year's registration, OMG the race is set for February instead of June! What if it snows? Those skinny, bald specialty tires just won't do.

Dennis has another brilliant idea and off to the thrift shop for skis we go. The F117 Firehawk now has a specialty attachment to replace the front tire, and we are off and ready to fly down Bennett Avenue in Cripple Creek on Saturday, Feb. 16, tech inspection at 9 a.m. with races starting at noon. Come and cheer on Cascade's Dennis Wagner!! Crazy Racer, Dad, husband, volunteer firefighter (2007's firefighter of the year), and soon to be Grandpa.
