Local Cascadian to Enter CHCA's Gravity Race

What do you do when all the males in your family have been bitten by the racing bug???? Well, you put on your pit crew shirt, provide food & refreshments for the driver and the rest of the crew, and you ready a supply of ice packs and bandages for the driver (that must be a mom thing).

Our son Dannan raced the last year and a half in the Colorado Hill Climb Association on his Yamaha Raptor Quad #98, and raced Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in 2006. Well, what happens when winter hits and the males get 'race-itis', ie... withdrawal symptoms from no racing going on? You head up to CHCA's Cripple Creek Gravity Race in February of 2006 is what you do!! Oh my goodness, that was a BIG mistake!!!! Now they have put their heads together (always scary anyhow when they collaborate), and are going to build themselves a gravity racer for next years race.

After much finagling with the neighbors for their used/unwanted bicycles, tires, brakes, paint, and other 'racer' parts, I hear welding, grinding, sanding, painting, and a little swearing going on for 6 + months in our excavation & welding shop.
We now have a shiny red and black, chariot looking gravity racer AND A SPONSOR NO LESS! B-Line Graphics designed and printed the beautiful Cripple Creek Gravity Race decals we proudly display on this contraption.

Now who is going to race this thing down that steep hill in Cripple Creek???
Dannan (the experienced racer) has just moved to NC. Oh no!! Now the 50+ year old (dad/Dennis) wants to race this thing. Wish us luck!

COME AND SEE DENNIS RACE THIS SATURDAY JUNE 23rd IN CHCA'S CRIPPLE CREEK GRAVITY RACE!!!!
