Jeff & Vida, a sizzling bluegrass, lovesick blues, rockabilly and
dustbowl ballads group will perform on Thursday, June 26th at Jimbo's
Take 2, 2427 N. Union Boulevard, Colorado Springs. Doors open at 6:45,
show is 7:30-9:15pm.
Jimbo's Take 2 can be described as sitting in your large living room with 65 friends and having professional sound, lights and stage.
Tickets for this show are $10 in advance and $15 the day of show and
may be purchased at
http://www.AMusicCompanyInc.com
With three critically acclaimed records under their belt and 5 years
of rigorous touring both nationally and internationally, the duo make
big impressions wherever they perform. Their show consists of original
material spanning from Appalachian bluegrass to alternative country
and showcases Vida's powerful voice with Jeff's superb picking on
mandolin, guitar and banjo along with tight, well arranged harmonies.
With ballads that sound like they could have been written fifty years
ago and raucous barnstorming numbers that keep your feet tapping,
their live shows are exciting and unique, full of good humor, good
music, and unforgettable songs.
With past performances including the Ryman Auditorium, New Orleans
Jazz and Heritage Festival, and the Johnny Keenan Banjo Festival in
Ireland, Jeff & Vida are emerging as the next up and coming Americana
act. They have won numerous awards including the Big Easy Award, Best
Country/Folk Performer 2005. Jeff & Vida also provided the music for
Bell Witch: The Movie released in 2007.
Amy Whitesell of A Music Company Inc., promoter of the concert
explains "We had Jeff & Vida in for a performance recently and booked
them based on suggestions from other music promoters. Everything we
were told about this exciting group was not only true, but the
expectations were greatly exceeded!" "We hope to make Colorado Springs
a continual stop on their bust touring schedule."
