Kids of all ages love an Air Show ...
Contributed by: Rosanne Gain on 9/23/2008

Colorado Springs Air Show, 4 - 5, a fun filled, action packed day of entertainment

This year's Colorado Springs Air Show, takes place October 4 - 5 at the Old Colorado Springs Airport. A fun day outdoors - plenty of airplanes in the air and on the ground - lets children spend time with parents and grandparents, learning about airplanes and aviation. Seeing airplanes and meeting pilots up close can provide inspiration to pursue a career in aviation or start a lifelong love of aircraft.

Much to see and do at an air show

A special "Kids Zone" provides fun on things such as inflatable jumpers and a climbing wall. An array of booths and an intriguing ground display of antique, experimental and military aircraft will keep the whole family interested and busy. Take a spin in an F-16 flight simulator too!

Aerobatic show begins daily at 12 Noon, runs until 3 p.m.

Kids of all ages can expect to see:

A sailplane, or glider, with a jet engine that allows it to climb on its own; a Jelly Belly covered airplane that does crazy things in the sky and lands on top of a truck; great aerobatic airplanes that tumble and flip across the sky, plus much more. As always, Announcer Bob will keep everyone informed and entertained during the show. Be sure to cover sensitive ears as the Navy fighter roars past the viewing area.

Helpful hints ensure an enjoyable day at the air show:
