The final performance of the fifth annual "Shakespeare in the Park" or "Shaken Up Shakespeare" was held in Manitou Springs' Memorial Park last Thursday, July 17. Manitou Art Theater's Birgitta De Pree coordinated the two-week effort which introduced sixth through eighth grade students to the drama, poetry, and comedy of the Elizabethan world and culminated in the children's performances of scenes from various Shakespeare plays: As You Like It, Richard III, Macbeth, Romeo & Juliet, and A Midsummer Night's Dream.
