Once upon a time -- back in 1996 actually -- Jack in the Box© left Colorado. Now, the Nevada Jack in the Box© franchise has decided Colorado Springs is the right market for them, and next year, they plan to come to Fountain, if all goes well.
The choices are not as simple as you might think. Sirloin burger or chicken fajita pita? Fish & chips or taco?
With a continually improving menu, and affordable specials, JITB has climbed the ranks of food outlets, not to mention become a significant employer, providing benefits to their employees and an inclusive, personalized atmosphere with opportunities for advancement.
The new restaurant will be beside the JC Penny on Powers.
"We started the process a while ago," explained Director of Operations Chris Pennington, "but now things are really starting to move fast."
They are currently hiring staff and welcome applications at sites such as "Snag a Job" the Pikes Peak Workforce Center at http://www.ppwfc.org/ and other major employment listing sites.
"People can still apply at the training center at 2641 Durango," Pennington added.
The Durango office is located near the Hancock Expressway between Academy and Circle. JITB will be in an on-going hiring mode for some time. The question now is whether Fountain will welcome Jack in the Box© with equally open arms next year.
