This fall, a new school, the Broadmoor Academy of Music, began as an after-school program located at the Colorado Springs School. Led by directors Brad Bietry and Steve Draper - both with extensive performance and teaching backgrounds - the currently enrolled students are excelling. Most instrument instruction is available thanks to Bietry's connection with the Air Force music groups - and as the pianist for the Falconaires. BAM will emphasize performance - with jazz, pop and rock as a focus - but also include classical instruction. To hear talented BAM instructors and students - please make a note of the first BAM JAM - on Oct. 26 at the Colorado Springs School. For more information, check the Web site, bamatcss.com. You won't be disappointed.
