Murder Takes A Cruise
Contributed by: Dianne Hartshorn on 3/15/2008

Turn back the hands of time to April 26, 1912 and join us on a Cruise into mystery. On April 26, 2008 the Evergreen Cemetery Benevolent Society will host its 2 nd annual fund raising murder mystery dinner. This year's theme is the elaborate elegance of the Titanic era. As guests, you will receive your special boarding pass as you board the RMS Evergreen, and assume the personality of a person from Colorado Springs in 1912 Join in the fun, mystery and intrigue and help solve a murder. The murder will take place at the historic Carnegie Reading room at the downtown Pikes Peak Library at 20 North Cascade. If you have not had a chance to visit the restored reading room you are in for a treat. This Red Herring Production is a favorite for audience participation. The RMS Evergreen sets sail at 6:00pm. The Boarding fees for first class accommodations are only $40 per single and $70 per couple, a bargain indeed considering first class ticket prices for the RMS Titanic started at $125 with the Millionaire's Suite costing $4500 and this was 96 years ago! Third class tickets sold for $36, so indeed the ticket prices for the RMS Evergreen are a great bargain!

Due to the number of life boats available seating is limited so please make your reservations today. Payment must be prior to sailing. Captain's orders, there will be no tickets sold at the door. Please call 630-7328 or 638-1770 to make reservations. If you would like to telegraph for more information please do so at evergreencemeterysociety@yahoo.com. Or visit our ticket office at www.evergreencemeterysociety.com to wire payment by PayPal.
