This blog is designed to help the community draw closer together. The pulse of the community is often related to sports. A high school football game brings people together for a night of celebration. According to the National Weather Service, a severe blizzard is on its way to the area. It is supposed to begin tonight and last through Thursday.

This blizzard could bring up to six inches of snow in Colorado Springs, and up to a foot in the higher elevations.

This is a perfect opportunity for citizens of our community to get involved and become reporters. Take pictures, write stories and report on what you see from your office or kitchen window. Try to send in your stories as soon and as often as interesting events happens.

Last week, a YourHub contributor sent in a photo of a high school soccer game being played in the snow. It was a pretty cool photo and really got the feeling of the moment across.

Most of all, be safe. If youneed supplies to get you through a day or two, load up tonight before the worst part of the storm hits.
