Women Discover Motivation with Boot Camp Fitness
Contributed by: Joe Ramirez on 10/7/2007

It's a crisp Autumn morning in Briargate. The clear sky renders the perfect backdrop for the colorful leaves swaying as the breeze whispers through their branches. As the sun begins to rise, a dozen women gather for their morning exercise - at their local park.

These fitness queens are up and at 'em at the crack of dawn laughing, jumping and lifting pumpkins as medicine balls while losing weight. Frustrated by the lack of progress from exercise programs and diets, these women have enlisted in a popular and growing fitness trend called Boot Camp Fitness.

Fitness camps are gaining popularity across the country because they deliver results. To meet local demand, Fitness Professional Joe Ramirez offers a Women's fitness camp in Briargate. Women now have an alternative to going to the gym. "Women's fitness has been in need of more innovative and exciting fitness options", Ramirez says. "When exercise is done in a group setting, reaching your goal becomes a "team effort". We use the outdoors to inspire us, and we use the environment to our fitness advantage." says Ramirez.

Boot camp participant Nancy Oldson, 53, has been participating in the program for over 18 months now. Oldson says, "I look better, feel better and have a sense of accomplishment that I've never known before. I no longer wrestle to pull the garbage bag out of the can, push the lawnmower up the hill, or take the back seats out of my car. I'm hooked on boot camp!"

For most, getting an hour's worth of exercise in by 7am is not the norm, but Boot Campers agree that it's the best time to do it. Four days a week this October, boot camp participants will meet for an exhilarating 45 minute workout that includes cardiovascular exercise drills and toning exercises with resistive tubing, and pumpkins - yes pumpkins as weighted medicine balls to promote health, fitness and avoid holiday weight gain. Ramirez reveals 19 Fitness Secrets to avoid holiday weight gain and a FREE Pumpkin Workout Guide at his website - www.PumpkinWorkout.com.

"There's nothing more beautiful than watching the sun rise in the park with the beautiful mountains in the background -- which is very inspiring," says one recruit. The camaraderie is amazing!"
