Sugar Art
Contributed by: Kendra Blakeslee on 2/21/2007

Whole Foods Market was proud to be a part of the Glass Slipper Ball, a fundraiser for the Zonta Group and TESSA. The Glass Slipper Ball was a very elegant and well attended event, and included appetizers and dessert selections from 15 of the top chefs in the Colorado Springs area. Pierre Osborne, the WFM Bakery team leader and a pastry chef, represented Whole Foods Market at the event and presented mini-pastries. The mini-pastries won first place in the dessert competition. The mini pastries included miniature éclairs, cream puff swans, fruit tarts, key lime pies, and lemon meringue pies. The mini pastries were selected for the competition because they are a unique dessert selection made in house exclusively at Whole Foods Market. Pierre has been in the bakery business for over thirty years in several different areas including retail, wholesale, country clubs, resorts, and hotels. Pierre brings a wealth of knowledge to his team at Whole Foods Market and specializes in sugar art.
