Renaissance Academy Environmental Center
Contributed by: Seiko Tran on 5/30/2008

Renaissance Academy Environmental Center

Located on 22 beautiful acres, our property is home to both the Renaissance Academy and its new Environmental Center. RAEC offers half day and full day youth programs throughout the summer. Children ages 5-17 will be stimulated by our experiential education curriculum that is designed to foster an appreciation of nature. Our goal is to inspire a set of ethics that spurs young people to nurture, respect and preserve the world around us.

Please see the course descriptions below for further information regarding theme weeks, dates and pricing. The cost for each class includes materials.

RAEC will also be offering special programs, including pre/post program care, a Wilderness First Aid course, and the ability to customize a program based on the needs of your group

This is an exciting time for the Renaissance Academy Environmental Center as we prepare for our third season. We hope you will join us this summer as we embark on our continuing adventure.

Also, be sure to check out our summer program for Preschool aged children, S'mores!

Call us at 475-2510 or visit us online at www.therenaissanceacademy.org for more info.

NATURALIST FIELD SCHOOL

The following programs are designed for children ages 5-13. Children may participate in either half day or full day programs that follow a particular theme for each week. All those participating in the full day program will be supervised during a "bring your own lunch" period and then escorted to the second half of their day. All half day and full day participants may also sign up for pre- and post-program care as needed. Upon receipt of the registration form and deposit, parents will receive further course information and a description of what each child will need to bring.

Please note that there will be two separate age groups for our weekly programs, one for 5-8 year olds and one for 9-13 year olds. Since they will be studying the same topics each week, there will be several opportunities for them to join together as a larger group for special projects and to hear guest speakers.

Behind the program name, please specify if you are interested in the full day, am, or pm session.
