I can't tell you how happy I am that Consumer SOS is a new YourHub Feature!
I've spent my entire working career of 30 years in the Customer Service/Relations field and have learned from some of the very best companies out there. One of my greatest pleasures is going the extra mile for someone and seeing these customers become "raving fans!" I love the opportunity to also be on the receiving side of such exceptional customer service and making sure everyone (including the manager) knows it!
My personal story took place last December just before Christmas. My husband and I had been pondering for some time the purchase of an infrared sauna. We decided to treat ourselves to this soothing luxury as our gift to each other. We began our search at Backyards & Billiards and looked no further. From the minute we walked into the showroom, we were greeted with a genuine smile and treated as royalty by the owner himself, Greg Bennett. Greg explained in great detail the benefits and features of these Cedrus saunas leaving us with only one unanswered question...How soon can we have this delivered?
Being that it was almost closing time on Saturday evening, my reasonable expectation would be sometime the following week, but REALLY wanting it the next day of course. Guess what? we got it the next day! Greg himself, personally offered to come in early and help my husband load up our sauna, deliver and install all on his own time before opening his store that morning. I cannot recall anyone ever going so completely above and beyond the call of duty for us! I am proud to say that I am a "raving fan" of Greg and his company.
All too often these days, people only hear about what someone did wrong. Why not start recognizing what people do right and praising them in front of their managers? It is something that takes only a minute to do but the lasting effects are tremendous!

It is refreshing to hear consumers talking about GOOD customer service instead of the normal bad that we hear. Your Better Business Bureau has a program that allows customers to "nominate" a company that has given them Excellent Customer Service. Anyone can visit BBB.org and input their zip code, which takes them to our local BBB page. From there, click on the EICS logo (Excellence in Customer Service) and submit your nomination. And thank you so much for providing another arena for positive news!!
