The Colorado League of Charter Schools (CLCS) announced that Stacy Rivera has been hired as its Director of Communications. Rivera will lead strategic efforts to increase public awareness about the value and impact of Colorado's charter schools. She will also provide outreach to member schools about CLCS's initiatives, services and resources.
Rivera brings over 15 years marketing/communications experience to CLCS, with 4 years experience in the nonprofit sector. Most recently she held the role of Director of Marketing and Media Relations at the Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado.
"It's a privilege to be able to utilize my expertise to help promote the importance of charter schools and the value they add to the public education system," said Rivera. "I am looking forward to helping the League reach its organizational goal of increasing the number of Colorado students attending high-quality charter schools."
"We are pleased to have Stacy on board as our Director of Communications," said Jim Griffin, President of CLCS. "We are confident she will help us reach our goals of increasing public awareness about the charter school community, and branding the League as the premier organization committed to higher levels of charter school success and student performance."
The Colorado League of Charter Schools is a membership association that serves and supports over 140 charter schools, free public schools of choice, in a way that benefits public education as a whole. CLCS focuses on commitment to higher levels of student achievement and school success. There are 56,458 students attending the 141 charter schools in Colorado, which equals 7% of total K-12 public school enrollment in the State.
