Melody.UsAuPair@comcast.net Au Pairs are young students from different countries. They provide child care in exchange for room and board. Since they are (18-26 years old), regulations are set by the US State Department that they cannot work more than 10 hours/day or 45 hours/week. This is a cultural exchange program, and au pairs are very interested in learning about family life in the USA as well as sharing their own culture with your family and friends. If you become a host family, you would be able to set your own schedule with your au pair. What's even better... you can leave your home and your child care is "built in"! It is also healthier for little ones as they do not have that exposure to the child care center germs and don't have to compete for attention! Good luck with your child care needs. Not just a child care program, but cultural exchange between host families, their au pairs, and our community. A one year adventure for the children and parents that wish to learn about other cultures, while they enjoy a new family member that loves taking care of their special children.
