Stars Gymnastics team member Christina Brown, age 12, vaulted to victory at the 2007 USA Gymnastics Level 6 State Championships held on December 1 in Wheatridge. Brown placed third on the balance beam, second on the floor exercise, and first on the vault earning the highest total score of 37.10 to capture the All-Around Gold Medal. The Stars Gymnastics team earned fourth place at the competition.

Brown is no stranger to winning championships in multiple sports. In addition to gymnastics, Brown is a member of the Pinnacle Weightlifting team that competed at the State Games of America in August at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Brown who competed in Olympic style weightlifting in the 27kg weight class turned in an outstanding performance with a 25kg snatch and a 35kg clean and jerk to win first place in the School Age division.

Brown has seen a dramatic improvement in her results this year which she attributes to adding a sports specific strength and conditioning program developed by Coach Andy Garcy. Coach Garcy works with Brown and other athletes in all sports to improve their performance and success.

Brown trains with coaches at Stars National Gymnastics Village and also works with USA Gymnastics National Coach Luminita Garcy. In addition, Brown trains at Flex Gym and Fitness with Coach Andy Garcy.
