still needing help as of July 2008

My family and our handicapped friend were in the Castlewest fire last January, we lost everything. We now have another apartment to live in. We had a car, we lost that, because of money woes. We now have no way to get around, to go to the grocery store, and to get my 21-month-old grandbaby to her Dr. appointments.
The handicapped person we stay with had an electric scooter, he was in an accident on Feb 29th. His scooter was totaled, the officer said it was his fault, that he rode into the path of a pick-up truck. Seems as if it has beenone thing after another with us. He is getting better. He had to have 14 staples in his head, whichwere taken out last week, thank goodness.
What I'm about to ask is way beyond ridiculous, but we need help.I was wondering if anybody would please consider donating us a used car that is in very safe condition, but does not have to be that nice looking but runs good. We are all stuck with no way to get around. The person we stay with and care for has cerebral palsey.

I'm trying to care for this person, and help my 18-year-old daughter raise her 21-month old daughter and things are so very rough on all of us.I know this sounds like alot to ask . And yes,I agree, it is alot to ask, but we need help andI dont know what else to do. The only payment we get for staying with our friend is a place to live.
