Where Is It?-It's the Black Forest Community Club

The picture in today's Your Hub is the historic Black Forest Community Club. Built in 1929 with donated land and logs by the 30 families then living in the Black Forest, this building has seen everything from weddings and roller skating to community meetings and the Black Rose Acoustic Society. Thousands of volunteer hours upgraded the log finish, chinking, wiring, doors and windows. The building represents the efforts of early pioneers who desired a place where they could gather with the other scattered families who lived up in the forest. The 30 early families have grown to over 3000 families who live in the Black Forest today. The Black Forest Community Club still works to bring forest families together and uses this building as the centerpiece for the community club.
