Ever considered visiting a gallery in which your investment could change a life forever?
For the third year in a row, the Focus on the Family Welcome Center is serving as host for the Heart Gallery of Colorado, a traveling exhibit featuring approximately 50 professional photographs of Colorado's most difficult-to-place foster children. These unique kids are among over 700 eligible for adoption in the state and are still waiting to be adopted due to various factors including age and sibling ties. The gallery will be open to the public through the end of January.
To date, the Focus on the Family Welcome Center has generated more response for the Heart Gallery of Colorado than any other Colorado stop. This year's display has already spawned community support.Shortly after the gallery reopened last November, a local church youth group visited the display and gathered around each picture to pray for the children featured.
"Focus on the Family is privileged to host the Heart Gallery in our Welcome Center for the third time," says Focus on the Family's Hospitality Specialist Diane Ingolia."As an organization dedicated to nurturing and defending families worldwide, it is a special honor to aid in increasing adoption awareness right in our own community."
Founded in New Mexico in 2001, the Heart Gallery encourages the adoption of older foster children and siblings, and continues to do an exceptional job of capturing the personalities of the children through photography.Numerous states have held active Heart Galleries of their own in an effort to find loving homes for foster children across America.
If you have not yet had an opportunity to walk through the Heart Gallery of Colorado display, there is still time! The Heart Gallery of Colorado display in the Focus on the Family Welcome Center is located on the corner of Briargate Parkway and Explorer Drive.
