Sample this and that
Welcome to Sample's blog. I am a mom of three young girls and live in a great neighborhood and community. A very small town with a huge heart. I struggle with a theme for my blog, so I will just tell you that it is about everyday life as a mom, wife, friend, community journalist and sports enthusiast. I truly believe everyone is interesting and has a story to tell. I hope to share some interesting, funny, insightful and informative blogs that you can relate to as a parent, friend, neighbor, YMCA sports fan, working mom, dad, at home or outside the home, everyday joe about everyday life.

I had the pleasure of attending all of my daughter's soccer games this past weekend. A lot of times I have to miss one or the other because of time or schedule conflicts and one game overlapping with another.
One daughter is in the Rush organization, the next is in the Pride league, and my youngest is still at the YMCA. Each organization has unique qualities and different strategies. One needs us there 45 minutes prior to the game, the other 15 minutes. One team has blue and white jerseys, the other purple and white and then there's the red and white.
One has 11 players on the field, the other 6, and then 4. One age group looks like a pack of bees swarming around, while the older group plays strict positions.
Snacks are still a half time and end of game routine in the younger and middle aged groups. Ranging from fruit, juice boxes, animal cookies and fruit roll-ups.
Despite all the differences, the day was filled with a lot of similarities. Parents socializing and bonding with their "community" in the soccer world. Cheering and supporting their children. Positive feedback from the coaches, while trying to yell direction out to some, who, depending on ages, were into the game, or looking for butterflies.
A game that teaches these children rules, respect, how to be a team player, courage and endurance. No matter what the weather turns out to be like, and believe me, there can be three seasons in one day, as you know, in Southern Colorado, there is no place I would rather be.
