Blog Entry 4 of 39 Forest Creatures

Let me introduce you to our cast of characters. My husband "Pops" and I are both over 50, fairly educated and we live on five plus acres between Black Forest and Peyton with 4 Akitas and a truly imperfect cat, named of course, Purrfect. I grew up in Colorado, he's from Chicago. We love the Broncos and the Bears, music, television and technology. Some people lead fairly quiet lives. Our lives are usually filled with constant misadventure. I am not sure if it is because we have several dominant pets or because my husband is always misbehaving but whatever the reasons we are usually in the middle of a storm. This blog will chronicle our adventures when I have time to file them. Sometimes I will be asking advice, sometimes I will just try to make users laugh.

Finally got my digital camera to work and thought I would post a couple of picture of the new puppies. Everything is progressing fairly calmly now, with only a few sporadic glitches. Had to get rid of the small puppy bed, they kept escaping. Also had to crawl under the deck yet again to fill in the huge hole the mother dog dug last weekend.
The mother, Sable, has for the most part recovered from her ordeal and I have finally gotten back to work, leaving her with various volunteer "babysitters". Yesterday when she heard my car keys she started to whine and pace. I almost reconsidered going anywhere. But apparently the minute I leave she is fine. She knows who she can manipulate.
On a totally different topic - we are preparing for possible snow. We had a light dusting a couple of weeks ago but this could be the real thing. At our elevation we might get 2 inches, or since this is after all Colorado, absolutely nothing.
